Current role: Senior Advisor Communications & Engagement
Current industry: External Communications
I’m the Senior Advisor Communications & Engagement at the CAA, which oversees aviation safety and security, and the rules underpinning it, and the Aviation Security Service, known as AvSec. You'll see most of AvSec’s staff working at airports – they’re the ones screening passengers and their luggage.
In my role, I provide strategic communication and engagement advice, develop and implement campaigns, manage media, create content for various channels, build relationships with stakeholders, and advise leaders on communication strategies. From aviation incidents and accidents, emergency situations, reputation management and safety campaigns, my current role is varied, often reactive, fast-paced, and busy.
After nearly eight years in the industry, I love how challenging and exciting it is. You need to be able to multi-task, work quickly, make decisions fast and be comfortable working and interacting with a breadth of people. It’s an environment I really enjoy working in.
